The ERECS 1:1 Project Manager established and supported a mobile tablets (iPads) as one-to-one devices community of practice for the four sites involved in the 1:1 Mobile Tablet Project. This Community of Practice was facilitated by:
  • the project wiki (a virtual site for sharing of information and resources amongst the four 1:1 MTP sites, the diving deeper site and the Project Manager),
  • three COP face-to-face meetings, and
  • six COP Skype video conference calls.

To inform our community of practice meetings, all classroom teachers are requested to complete sections K, W, and H (1) of the iPads for Learning K-W-H-L Chart by June 23rd, 2011:
  • What do KNOW about teaching and learning with iPads as a 1-to-1 device?
  • What do you WANT TO KNOW about teaching and learning with iPads as a 1-to-1 device?
  • HOW can you learn best about about teaching and learning with iPads as a 1-to-1 device?
